Dr. Meagan Ochoa
Principal of Oakville Elementary School

Meagan Ochoa is the proud principal of Oakville Elementary, bringing several years of dedication to education, with over 20 of those years serving the students and families of the Mehlville School District. Her extensive experience includes teaching in the elementary classroom in both Texas and the Mehlville School District, as well as serving as an English Language Specialist at Wohlwend Elementary.  Before taking the helm at Oakville, Dr. Ochoa served as the Mehlville Summer Session administrator for two years and was the assistant principal at Bierbaum Elementary for another two years. This is her sixth year leading Oakville Elementary as principal.

Dr. Ochoa holds a Bachelor of Arts in education, a Master of Arts in educational administration, and a doctorate in educational leadership. What she values most in her role as a school leader is the opportunity to support students, families, and teachers throughout their educational journey. She finds immense joy in watching the remarkable development of students from early childhood to preteens over the 6 years of elementary school and witnessing the individuals they become as a result of their school experiences. She cherishes the lasting relationships she has created over her educational career and how they have shaped her as a person.

Outside of school, Ochoa is a proud mother of three. Two of her children are proud graduates of Oakville High School. In her free time, Dr. Ochoa enjoys family game nights and engaging in outdoor activities like hiking or being on the water.
